Sahar is a graduate student in the Middle Eastern Studies program. Her research is focused on Shi'a rituals and thought in the Middle East and diaspora. She investigates contemporary Shi'ism employing media and text-based analysis, guided by an epistemological framework rooted in the complex adaptive systems theory.
